This is a project I did over a couple of days! I’ve been spending time teaching myself as much as possible in terms of D3, Tableau, Illustrator, etc., so this is the result of one of the mini projects I assigned myself. Every time I see a body of water, I take a short video to eventually add to a compilation for my own enjoyment. I took 80 of those videos (taken between 2023 and 2025, see below!), captured stills, ran a dominant color analysis through Python (using a KMeans algorithm to cluster 3 color groups), generated a CSV of RBG values, and created an interactive grid of cells with D3.js. You can hover over each cell to reveal the actual photograph— might take a second to load depending on your browser or internet.
