This is a project I did over a couple of days, as a result of teaching myself new functions within D3, Tableau, Illustrator, etc. Every time I see a body of water, I take a short video to eventually add to a compilation for my own enjoyment. I took 80 of those videos (taken between 2023 and 2025, see below!), captured stills, ran a dominant color analysis through Python (using a KMeans algorithm to cluster 3 color groups), generated a CSV of RBG values, and created an interactive grid of cells with D3.js. You can hover over each cell to reveal the actual photograph— might take a second to load depending on your browser or internet.
